LONGSTANDING supporter of Armoy Road Races, Roadside Garages is returning this summer as sponsor of the hotly contested Friday night opener, Supertwin 1 race.
Taking place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July, the Armoy Road Races is gearing up to be a fantastic two days of racing. The opener on Friday, the Supertwin 1 is a very popular race and sets the tone for what’s always a thrilling and exciting weekend of road racing.
Based in Coleraine, Roadside Garages is an award-winning Kia Dealer, supplying new Kia, Approved Used Kia vehicles and were just recently appointed as one of only three dealers in Northern Ireland to be awarded the PBV franchise for electric vans and passenger vans for both business and personal use. With over 60 years of automotive experience, Roadside Garages has a long history with Armoy Road Races, providing the official cars for the race stewards and support vehicles since the races began back in 2009.
As sponsors of the Supertwin 1 race, the additional financial support from Roadside Garages has been greatly received by the event’s organisers, the Armoy Motorcycling Road Racing Club (AMRRC) with Chairman, Gareth McAuley commenting: “We are delighted to have Roadside Garages back on board as a sponsor this year. The Supertwin 1 race is always an exciting one as the riders battle it out to show us just what they’re made of. Last year, Magherafelt man, Paul Jordan topped the podium after smashing the Supertwin class lap record, hitting 100.694 mph on his fourth lap! We’ll be looking forward to seeing how the race plays out this year and I have no doubt we may see another few lap records as well.

Armoy Road Racing is a key event in the Irish road racing calendar and attracts some of the top names in road racing. Part funded by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, the Armoy Road Races will take place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July, culminating in the prestigious Bayview Hotel Race of Legends.
