No, spectators are not charged to watch the Armoy Road Races, there are a number of locations outside the road closing order from which spectators can view the Armoy races without purchasing a race package in support of the Armoy Road Races. The locations of Main Street, Hillside Road, Magheramore Road, Glenshesk Road and Coolkeeran Road leading into Armoy are readily accessible until the road closing order barriers are reached. Please be aware however that viewing will be limited in these areas. No spectators are permitted Trackside, on Private property or In Prohibited areas

Yes, The race area within the Road Closing Order (known as the Armoy circuit) and the privately owned, zoned parking/viewing areas within the order are under the control of the club and as such, there will be ‘Supporters Packages’ offered for sale in support of the Armoy event in return for an event lanyard, programme and a pass to gain entry into one of the privately owned, zoned areas which have been agreed with landowners to provide you with parking and enhanced viewing of the event.
Supporter Packages can be bought here

The preferred choice is COLLECTION of packages. Our race dates at the end of July come with issues due to the 12th holidays here in Northern Ireland where some businesses close for a week (including printers & binders) and that determines delivery of our programme to us the promoter and the knock on of delivery to you the supporter.
Sandra and her helpers have the packages all packed and they will be posted on Tuesday to Northern Ireland & the UK, with the orders for the South of Ireland being taken to Co.Lifford for Postage (to save on double postage and speed the service up) on Wednesday/Thursday.
We hope you enjoy your programme and thank you for your support.
The maths is straightforward, if 25% of the spectators pay the races will not be able to pay it’s event costs, if everyone paid to attend National road racing events their future would be secured.

The Armoy course is 3 miles long and in a triangular shape with a lot of natural hilly areas offering great viewing. You will have the best days racing, meet old friends, make new friends and have the best ‘craic’ with just a few simple things to bear in mind!
PARKING: There is ample off-road parking (keeping the roads clear for emergency/residents and businesses) both inside and outside the course. These car-parks are zoned into colours to allow you to pick the best parking to suit your needs for the day. Coloured parking zones are only for your vehicle and as a spectator you are free to move to any coloured zone for viewing. NO viewing is permitted in PROHIBITED AREAS or property signed as NO SPECTATORS – PRIVATE PROPERTY.
SIGNAGE: The course is divided up into coloured zones with Car-Parking signs, Spectator Walkway signs, Prohibited Area Signs, No Parking, Ambulance route signs and general information signs to help everyone make there way around the course safely and with-out causing disruption, damage or a hazard to someone’s property. Do Not remove signage or BLOCK an access route or entrance to someone’s property or field.
MARSHALS: There is an abundance of volunteer marshals around the course for the riders but also to give advice;
- on when and when not to access the course
- areas that are prohibited
- monitoring the prohibited use of selfie sticks and drones
and all while observing the rules from the landowner whose property we are all using for our event. It’s not an easy job and although it may look like the course is clear and you’re thinking ‘what harm would it do if I got across there now’, the marshal may have heard from race control that vehicles or bikes are on the course. Please observe instructions from the Marshals.
INFORMATION: We have a PA Tannoy system at key viewing locations around the course making announcements on race information, alerts and general guidance with updates as they happen. Viewing from an area serviced with a Tannoy speaker is a valuable asset in keeping you informed.
ROADS OPEN – ROADS CLOSED: Roads close on Friday 25th July at 10.00am when a police car and the Road Closing car do a lap of the course with lights and sirens on. During racing the course is a CLOSED ROAD and no one is permitted to enter the road unless instructed by a marshal.

Roads Close on Saturday 26th July at 9.00am and Open no later than 7.30pm.
Yes. Despite the lateness of the Zones plan that had to be implemented because of the Covid restrictions in 2021, it generally worked well in easing congestion and allowing spectators to park close to a new viewing spot that maybe they hadn’t tried before. So Yes, when you buy a programme package online you can select the zone that best suits your needs.
Yes, The official AMRRC colour coded carpark is FREE to cars/bikes with the corresponding colour wristband and window sticker that form part of the Programme & Parking packages.
Spectators without pre event parking packages can still park in an official AMRRC car park and will charged.
There are other carparks around the circuit that are not official AMRRC colour coded carparks that perhaps collect monies for various charities etc, these are not included as free parking and you will be charged.
Yes, carparks will be controlled and you’ll be charged again to use another carpark that may not be an official AMRRC carpark in your coloured zone.

No Spectators will not be permitted to camp etc in the competitors Paddock.
The adjacent field (Taggarts Barn) is as always, available for Motorhomes, caravans and those that like to rough it a bit camping.
There are better places to camp etc with facilities and they can be found on our ‘where to stay’ pages HERE

Unfortunately due to the spiraling cost of scaffolding platforms for grandstands there will be no grandstands for 2024. Seated grandstands are probably the way forward but at a build cost of £20/£35 per seat this is something maybe we will consider depending on demand/interest in a seated grandstand ticket for 2025.
There may be the opportunity for a few hospitality packages which will include Parking, Programme, Wristband & Lanyard, Breakfast and a Lunch with Wine plus a viewing grandstand. Contact either Naked PR or myself (administrator@amrrc.com) and someone will contact you.
Yes, there are a few of the regular Race Week events taking place this year.
The RIDE OUT & BBQ is planned for Sunday 21st July (Route to be confirmed)
The CLASSIC CARS make a return in the evening to the Armoy village on Wednesday 24th July.
And of course on Thursday 25th July we see the return of the CLASSIC BIKE display with a few laps of the track thrown in for that nostalgic smell of petrol and 2 stroke oil mix.
