Roadside KIA Pledges its Support for the Armoy Road Races

Roadside KIA Sponsors 600cc Supersport Race 2 at Race of Legends 2018

ARMOY Motorcycle Road Racing Club is pleased to announce Roadside KIA is continuing its invaluable support at this year’s 10th Anniversary Bayview Hotel Race of Legends 2018.

The Coleraine based, Roadside Kia Dealership has a long-standing tradition of supporting the biking community through its sponsorship of Michael Dunlop and the Armoy Road Races, from supplying the Clerk of the Course with his car for Bike Week to being named as title sponsor in 2017, this year is no different as they continue their support in sponsoring 600 cc Supersport Race 2.

As a well-established family run business and the longest serving new and used car dealership in Coleraine, the company offers new Kia cars along with an ever-growing selection of high quality, great value pre-loved cars.

Bill Kennedy MBE, Clerk of the Course said, “Without sponsors like Roadside Kia, the Armoy Road Races and Race of Legends would not be possible, so for that I am indebted to them. On behalf of the club and personally, I would like to thank David Boyd and Ian Lamont for their continued support throughout the years.”

Now in its tenth year, the Armoy Road Races, supported by the Causeway Coast & Glens Council, has grown from strength to strength, firmly positioning itself as one of the biggest national road races in Ireland, welcoming an increasing number of spectators and bike enthusiasts each year.

David Boyd of Roadside Garages said, “We have a long history with the Armoy Road Races and it is an honour to support them again, not only as racing fans but as members of the local community. Every year, the Armoy Road Races shines a spotlight on what the local community has to offer and that is something we are very proud to be a part of.

“As a family run business, Roadside Kia is dedicated to serving the local community and this is one way of how we fulfil those goals. The Armoy Road Races epitomise all that is great about this sport and long may it continue.”

Bill continues, “Having also sponsored Michael Dunlop for the past three years, it is clear that both David and Ian are very passionate about racing and I look forward to celebrating with them through top quality racing.”

Bill concludes, “We have big plans to make this year an extra special event as we celebrate the milestone of ten years. I only hope that we can make it an exceptional year as a means of thanking not only the team at Roadside Kia but to all of our dedicated sponsors.”
