We’ve taking the slow but steady return to Race Week based in and around the village of Armoy. While you’re in Armoy why not take a walk in the park and visit the Armoy Armada memorial or re-enact those iconic pictures of the Armada on the banks of the River Bush, Armoy Bridge and Frank Kennedy’s garage.
Another must see is the garage and private museum of the infamous Armada sponsor, H. O’Kane Motors. Together the O’kane family have amalgamated a fantastic collection of classic bikes and memorabilia and if there not to busy, they’d love the chance to swap stories and memories with interested visitors. These are just a few pictures from that great collection.
Classic Car Display – Wednesday 27th July
Ballymoney Old Vehicle Club will be visiting Armoy gathering from 6.00 pm. This year the cars will be on display in the Station Road Carpark that is in the centre of the Armoy Village. All types of classic, rare & collectable cars are expected in the village where a huge number of enthusiasts turn out to admire the scene and enjoy the craic. A lovely spectacle to see the classics doing a few laps of the Armoy circuit as the night draws to a end.
Classic Bike Display – Thursday 28th July
O’kane Motors, Armoy, welcomes the Coleraine Motorcycle Club & the Japanese Vintage Club in putting on a display of bikes from our racing past. Bikes will be on show outside Tilly Molloy’s in Armoy village from 7.00 pm. Another great night of village craic with a bit of nostalgia and whiff of burning oil as the bikes leave for a few laps of the Armoy circuit.
