Planning your day as a first-time visitor or as a spectator needing some updated guidance.

The Armoy course is 3 miles long and in a triangular shape with a lot of natural hilly areas offering great viewing. You will have the best days racing, meet old friends, make new friends and have the best ‘craic’ with just a few simple things to bear in mind!

PARKING: There is ample off-road parking (keeping the roads clear for emergency/residents and businesses) both inside and outside the course. These car-parks are zoned into colours to allow you to pick the best parking to suit your needs for the day.

Coloured parking zones are only for your vehicle and as a spectator you are free to move to any coloured zone for viewing.

NO viewing is permitted in PROHIBITED AREAS or property signed as NO SPECTATORS – PRIVATE PROPERTY.

 SIGNAGE: The course is divided up into coloured zones with Car-Parking signs, Spectator Walkway signs, Prohibited Area Signs, No Parking, Ambulance route signs and general information signs to help everyone make there way around the course safely and without causing disruption, damage or a hazard to someone’s property. Do Not remove signage or BLOCK an access route or entrance to someone’s property or field.

MARSHALS: There is an abundance of volunteer marshals around the course for the riders but also to give advice;

  • on when and when not to access the course
  • areas that are prohibited
  • monitoring the prohibited use of selfie sticks and drones

and all while observing the rules from the landowner whose property we are all using for our event.  It’s not an easy job and although it may look like the course is clear and you’re thinking ‘what harm would it do if I got across there now’, the marshal may have heard from race control that vehicles or bikes are on the course. Please observe instructions from the Marshals.

INFORMATION: We have a PA Tannoy system at key viewing locations around the course making announcements on race information, alerts and general guidance with updates as they happen. Viewing from an area serviced with a Tannoy speaker is a valuable asset in keeping you informed.
