Hurricane Windows and Doors Sponsors Classic Superbike / Supersport Race

LOCATED in Ballymoney, Hurricane Windows and Doors has issued support for the upcoming Armoy Road Races for the very first time by sponsoring the popular Classic Superbike/Supersport race.

With over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and suppling high-quality, premium windows and doors, the company is sponsoring one of the most highly competitive races on the programme – one that will see some of the sport’s biggest names vying for the top podium spot.
With the event fast-approaching, Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club (AMRRC) Chairman, Gareth McAuley confirmed that they’re preparing to welcome thousands of fans from around the world for an action-packed weekend of 13 races.
“This year’s event is shaping up to be a very exciting and competitive one,” Gareth said. “I’m very pleased to welcome Hurricane Windows and Doors on board for the first time as sponsors this year. As a Club, we’re very lucky to have the support of a number of local businesses and individuals, both new and longstanding, who all show incredible passion and dedication to the sport.

“We’ve said it time and time again but without the support of our sponsors, we wouldn’t be able to host an event that is gaining global traction and putting Northern Irish road racing firmly on the global stage. Sincere thanks to each and every one.”

Meanwhile, Reece McLaughlin from Hurricane Windows and Doors commented: “Road racing is very much part of the fabric of life here on the North Coast and we were very keen to become involved with Armoy as it’s such an iconic event.
“At Hurricane Windows and Doors, supporting our local community is at the heart of what we do, and the team and I are very excited to get up close to the action come July. Good luck to all the riders, we can’t wait to see who comes out on top.”

In 2025, Dublin native, Andy Farrell pipped Englishman, Sam West to the top spot in the Classic Superbike race and according to Gareth, this year’s race will see Andy Hornby and Phillip Crowe going head-to-head with local riders Neil Kernoghan and Ryan Whitehall, fresh from his first Classic Superbike/Supersport race at the Kells Road races, all vying for the top podium spot.

“The Classic Superbike/Supersport race consistently attracts some of the sport’s top riders and is certainly thrilling viewing as riders battle it out for victory,” Gareth added.

“Our Club volunteers are currently busy with the final preparations for the event and are poised to welcome thousands of road racing fans from all over the world over the coming weeks. We’re really looking forward to July. It’s going to be a brilliant two days of road racing.”

Part funded by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, the Armoy Road Races will take place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July, culminating in the prestigious Bayview Hotel Race of Legends.
