Hilton Car Sales Gearing Up to Sponsor Armoy Races

Ballymena Quality Used Car Retailer to Sponsor Supersport Race.
HILTON Car Sales, a quality used car retailer located in Ballymena, is the latest local company to add its name to the list of sponsors for this year’s Armoy Road Races.
Sponsoring the Supersport race, Hilton Car Sales first came on board as sponsors of the prestigious event in 2019 and Andy Hilton, owner of the second-generation family company, is a self-confessed road racing fanatic and has a lot of personal history with Armoy Road Races in particular.

“I’m a massive fan of road racing. I used to travel to all the road races around Northern Ireland as a child with my late father, Davy Hilton and I just loved it. That was the beginning of a life-long obsession with the sport,” Andy recalled.
“When I was first approached to be a sponsor, I jumped at the chance to support this fantastic event. My father was a close friend of Frank Kennedy, one of the Armoy Armada, and I am friendly with Neil Kernohan so it was a no brainer for me to get involved.
“It’s no secret that the past year has been extremely challenging, but we feel privileged to be able to play our part in ensuring that the event can go ahead this year. Our business has always been well supported by those in the local community and we wanted to be able to give back to them through our sponsorship of the Armoy Road Races.
“On behalf of the staff at Hilton Car Sales, we are really looking forward to the event and to watching some world-class road racing!”

Elsewhere, Bill Kennedy MBE, Clerk of Course claims the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club was “delighted” to welcome Hilton Car Sales back as sponsors of this year’s event.
“We are delighted that Andy and the team at Hilton Car Sales are supporting us again this year,” Bill said.
“We are very privileged to have the support of a company that fully appreciates the sport and wants to help us to continue our reputation as one of the best events in the Irish road racing calendar.
“We realise that the events of the past year have brought unimaginable stress to our local businesses which makes us even more grateful for their sponsorship. Their support will allow a limited number of road racing fans to come together safely in July to enjoy a little piece of normality which is invaluable to the local community at this time.

“Road racing legend, Guy Martin has already confirmed his attendance and we’re expecting some more big names to enter in the weeks ahead. The team is busy preparing for what we know will be a great event – we’re all really looking forward to it.”

The Armoy Road Races will take place on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of July. For more information, follow AMRRC on Facebook and on Twitter @ArmoyRoadRaces.
