Ballymoney Business Also Supplying Bikes for Travelling Marshals
RETURNING for the second consecutive year, Ballymoney based Ducati Antrim has announced its sponsorship of the Next Generation Supersport 2 race at this year’s Armoy Road Races, which is taking place in the County Antrim village on Friday 24thand Saturday 25th July.
One of the most popular and competitive races on the programme, the Next Generation Supersport 2 race is set to attract some of the sport’s most promising rising stars alongside a huge crowd of spectators. In operation for almost 20 years, Ducati Antrim specialises in a range of new and used bikes and over the years has supported a number of road racing’s biggest names including Conor Cummins, Alistair Seeley, Martin Finnegan, Michael Rutter, Jason Griffiths and Ryan Farquhar. The family-run enterprise is also supplying Ducati bikes for the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club (AMRRC) travelling marshals to travel around the three-mile racing circuit.
“We enjoyed the event so much in 2025 that we had to come back this year and offer our support once again,” commented Aaron Lyons, from Ducati Antrim.
“We have been involved in the motorcycle road racing world for decades now and anything we can do to help bolster the sport and its future means a lot to all of us here at Ducati Antrim. The Armoy Road Races attracts some of the globe’s top riders and we’re delighted to be involved this year and are looking forward to seeing who clinches the top spot on the podium.”
Rider entries officially closed in June and according to Club Chairman, Gareth McAuley, some of the sport’s biggest names are gearing up to take on the three-mile circuit this summer. Magherafelt man, Paul Jordan, a fan favourite at Armoy who also rides a Ducati machine, is among the riders making a return this year following a hugely successful 2025, being named Man of the Meeting after claiming six podiums, including two wins and a new lap record.
“As with previous years, we’re getting ready to watch some of the very best riders in the sport compete for the top spot – some of whom have been on winning form the last few months, fresh from the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT,” Gareth said.
“Alongside the riders, we’re very privileged to have a number of dedicated sponsors onboard who are hugely passionate about the sport, and the team at Ducati Antrim are no different.
“We’re very grateful to Ducati Antrim for their sponsorship and for the supply of bikes for our marshals to travel around on. We say it time and time again, but we couldn’t host these iconic races if it wasn’t for the generosity of our sponsors, but we also cannot do without our marshals who ensure that the races can take place safely. Thank you to Ducati Antrim for supplying the bikes for our marshals and for supporting the 2026 Armoy Road Races.”
