The clubs AGM will be held in the Armoy Club Office on Main Street – Armoy on Wednesday 3rd September at 8pm.
The usual monthly club business will take place followed by the AGM for election of club officials and delegates for the 2025/26 year.
There will be the election of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and the election of three (3) MCUI(uc) delegates and the business of acceptance to the Articles of Associations as stated below.
Proposed as a notice of motions (Wednesday 6th August) as an amendment/clarification to rule 20 to the ‘Articles of Association’ the following additional wording;
20. Subject to the provisions of Section 135 (2) of the act relating to special resolutions seven days’ notice at the least (exclusive of the day on which the notice is served or deemed to be served, but inclusive of the day for which notice is given) specifying the place, business, the general nature of that business shall be given in the manner hereinafter mentioned, or in such other manner, if any, as may be prescribed by the Company in general meeting, to such persons as are, under the regulations of the Company, entitled to receive such notices from the Company; but with the consent of all the members entitled to receive notice of some particular meeting, that meeting may be convened by such shorter notice and in such manner as those members may think fit.
20a. A monthly meeting for the committee and members to discuss/report on club business shall be held on the first Wednesday of each calendar month at 8pm in the Armoy Club Office unless it falls on statutory holidays, other Motorcycle/Sporting events or due to bereavement or Illness, whereupon the chair will announce at the previous months club meeting that the date for next months meeting has been changed/cancelled and will declare a new date, time and place if required for the next club meeting. Any change of monthly club meeting date, time or place will also be posted on the AMRRC website and social media platforms.
