Officially; as part of the Drones Road resurfacing scheme, the A44 Hillside Road, Armoy has commenced. Or as we all know it, from Ballaney up past Kennedys and the start/finish line all the way into the Armoy Village to Robbo’s corner.
Finally, Infrastructure has looked at this part of the carriageway in the same way it looks at the NW200 and treats the road as dual purpose, adding non slip white lines and solar cats eyes, so big thanks for that guys.
With the promise of more repair and maintenance work to be carried out on Glenshesk and the Lagge road this year and with great weather on our side, I predict lap records are in jeopardy for 2022.
