Local Printing Company sponsors Armoy Supersport Race

First4Printing, the Coleraine based graphic design and printing services company, is sponsoring the first Supersport Race at Armoy Road Races which will take place on Friday 29th July 2016 in Armoy.

This is the second year that the company has supported the Supersport Race. Chris Atchison, Director of First4Printing said; “I have been involved with the Club for quite a few years now as we print the Armoy programme and I was keen to support them.

“We really enjoyed being involved last year as a sponsor and are pleased to be able to continue our support of the Supersport Race which takes place on the Friday evening of the Armoy Road Races.

“As a keen bike fan I have been consistently impressed by how the Club has managed the Armoy Road Races and how the popularity of the races has grown each year. Having the Supersport Race on the Friday evening has been a great addition to the programme and the fans have really got behind it with their support. We’re really looking forward to this year’s event.”

Bill Kennedy, Clerk of the Course said; “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chris and First4Printing for their continued support of the races, in particular the Supersport Race. In 2014 we decided to run a race on the Friday after practice. This proved a great success and the Supersport Race is now a firm fixture on the Friday evening and a great culmination to Friday’s practice racing.

“The race sees the bigger bikes take to the Armoy roads for the very first competitive race and it sets the tone for the next 10 races. The race also contributes to our ‘Man of the Meeting’ Award which also includes the second Supersport race on Saturday, the Open Race and of course the SGS International ‘Race of Legends’. We really are indebted to our sponsors who help and support us so we can continue to put on a fantastic event.”

The Armoy Road Races is part funded by Tourism Northern Ireland and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and Bike Week runs from Sunday 24th July until Saturday 30th July 2016 with the SGS International ‘Race of Legends’ featuring on the Saturday 30th July 2016.
